I love to scrap, then frame the page. It freezes that particular special moment in time.

There are so many snapshots in our lifetime. Sometimes when we are out as a family, and I do not have my camera, I close my eyes and take a snapshot with my mind. I call upon these "special snapshots" when I miss that particular time in my life. On those lucky days, when I have had my camera, I love to scrap that day, frame it and hang it up on the wall. Every so often, I take it down and replace it with another memory or a new adventure. I find such happiness and peace in placing my memories on paper...

Feeling like a Domestic Goddess!

Good Friday Morning!  Today is supposed to be warmer. Maybe even 50 degrees!  After the winter we have had here in NJ, 50 is HOT!  LOL
I wanted to share with you this morning another "Box Full of Happy" card that I made for the Spring Show.  I have been making many boxes in colors and mediums that I am not used to working with. This causes me to move- v e r y...s l o w l y....UGH As hard as I try, I am not a clean, crisp, girly paper, kinda gal.  I admire those of you that can, I just can't for a few reasons.  So, by using the papers and colors I like, it went along very quickly!!!  I am going to try my hand today at making some pinwheels and accordion flowers for my sister. In pastels.....OY!   LOL

Have a great day and remember to..... MAKE GOOD CHOICES!

More Boxes full of SURPRISE!

I had a few more Surprise boxes I made that I wanted to share with you. Each box has coordinating tags in three of the pockets. These can be used to journal, inserting a gift card or for adhering small photos.  The forth flap(or pocket) is for writing your message to the recipient.  This IS your card, so write in it!  Make it personal.  These are a gift and card all in one.

Enjoy!  Remember......Make good Choices!!!

A Beauty, framed

This is my baby, 14 years ago! How time flies. The frame is a 12 x 12 scrapbook frame. I handmade the flowers and filled the flower cluster with tulle. I had a lot of fun making this one. Distressed! Right up my alley! Enjoy! Have a great day and remember.....MAKE GOOD CHOICES!!!

A Frame for Mom...

This lovely lady was my mother. Wasn't she a beauty?! I have been trying to alter some frames for an upcoming show and was struggling terribly trying to find a design that I liked. I had been trying to make this against all the things I like. I know many people don't like things that look "antique." Well, I don't have a contemporary eye for anything. If its not tattered, it's not for me! Once I got over the fact that I the only way I could make these frames was the way I know how to do best- distress them! LOL Once I started, took no time at all! It is lovely, but then again, I had a great subject to work with! The frame is 11x14, Mat is 8x10, photo 4x6. The paper is from gcd studios- Splendor Collection. Enjoy! And remember.... MAKE GOOD CHOICES!

A couple more Dioramas to share...

I have a project that does not take long that are adorable. I used styrofoam eggs, thin yarn, Easter paper that I fussy cut the bunnies out. The purple one, I used acrylic paint and rolled in glitter and the beige one, I painted it with craft glue and rolled it in mica. Fun project and can easily be adapted for children as well. Have a GREAT DAY! And.... MAKE GOOD CHOICES!

This is a project that I made last year. (Before my hands stopped cooperating. UGH) This was made from an old ATG tape box. The bunnies are cut from the Tim Holtz Seasonal Paper Stash Collection. I love making dioramas! I made a few out of hallowed out styrofoam eggs. Maybe I can share later today...

Box Full of Surprise!

These little Surprise Boxes were fun to make! They go together quickly, it's the concept that takes me FOREVER! LOL Enjoy! Any questions? Ask away!

A cuppa....

These cups are fun to make. The tea bags are made from coffee filers and I filled them with poppy seeds! LOL The only think I had it the house that 1.Had weight to it. 2. Dark colored that didn't have a seasoning smell! They worked! There will be a lady there selling home made teas. I thought that between the Honey and the Tea being sold, these might be a cute container! I added vintage lace and I handmade the flower. They were cut using the Cricut- Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2. The teacup was cut at 8 1/2". That is 1/2" smaller than the max cut. I did this so it would fit into a box that I had made. Will post that soon as well. Have a GREAT DAY! And remember....MAKE GOOD CHOICES!

Explosion Boxes? I like to call them "Box FULL of HAPPY!"

I made these Happy Boxes for the upcoming show! They were fun to make. However, they take a while to assemble all the goodies inside. Still, they came out cute and HAPPY!
